WWII Amerikaanse British Tailored Ike Jacket
De jas is nog in nette conditie. Deze jas is een British Tailored model, wat betekend dat deze in Engeland is vernaaid/aangepast naar de wensen van de soldaat. Het betreft een Class A jas die is ingekort tot Ike Jacket en vermaakt met een nieuwe voering en onder andere drukknopen. Een bijzonder en minder vaak voorkomende variant!
Op de schouder zit een British Theater made Air Force patch. Op de linker mouw zitten 3 overseas bars voor 1,5 jaar overseas en op de rechter mouw een Weather specialist patch. De jas heeft de rangen van een sergeant en de Screwback Collar Disks duiden op iemand van de Air Crew.
Op de borst zit een Presidential Unit citation, een Sterling Air Crew wing en Ribbon Bars voor de WWII Victory medal, Good Conduct medal, American Campaign Medal (met campaign star) en de American Defence Medal (met campaign star).
De jas heeft geen label en de maat betreft een 38 of 36S. Er staat ook nog een Laundry code in de kraag. Een bijzonder item voor de Amerikaanse militaria verzamelaar!

The jacket is still in good condition. This jacket is a British Tailored model, which means that it has been sewn/adjusted in England to the soldier's wishes. It is a Class A jacket that has been shortened to Ike Jacket and equipped with a new lining and, among other things, press studs. A special and less common variant!
There is a British Theater made Air Force patch on the shoulder. On the left sleeve there are 3 overseas bars for 1.5 years overseas and on the right sleeve there is a Weather specialist patch. The jacket has the ranks of a sergeant and the Screwback Collar Disks indicate someone from the Air Crew.
