WWII Amerikaanse 82nd Airborne Division Uniform Grouping
De set is in nette staat en bestaat uit een Class A jacket, wool Shirt, Khaki Tie en Garrison cap. De set komt van een Technician 3rd Grade in de 82nd Airborne division.
De Class A jacket is zeer compleet en heeft een 82nd Airborne Division patch. Ook staan er initialen en legernummer in, echter corresponderen deze niet volledig. Het label in de jas is nog goed leesbaar en is 1941 gedateerd, het betreft een grote 42R. De jas heeft ook nog drie fourageres! Voor deelname aan de campagnes in Rood/Groen voor Frankrijk (D-day), Rood/groen voor Belgie (Battle Of the Bulge) en oranje voor Nederland (Market Garden).
Op de kraag van de jas zitten infantry collar discs. Op de borst zitten een Presidential Unit citation, combat infantry badge, sterling gemarkeerd en een jump wing oval van de 508th parachute infantry regiment met hierop een sterling gemarkeerde jump wing!
Het wool shirt is ook nog in zeer nette staat en heeft nog een net leesbaar label. Het shirt heeft technician 3rd grade rangstrepen en een 82nd Airborne Division Patch. De Garrison cap is in nette staat en heeft infantry piping en een combined Airborne/Glider cap patch. In de cap zit geen (maat) label meer maar vermoedelijk is het een maat 6 7/8 - 7. De set is zeer compleet en een absolute aanwinst voor de Airborne verzamelaar!

This set is in good condition and consists of a Class A jacket, wool shirt, khaki tie, and a garrison cap. It belonged to a Technician 3rd Grade in the 82nd Airborne Division.
The Class A jacket is very complete and has an 82nd Airborne Division patch. It also has initials and an army number, although these do not correspond completely. The label inside the jacket is still legible and is dated 1941; it is a large 42R. The jacket also has three foragers! For participation in the campaigns in Red/Green for France (D-Day), Red/Green for Belgium (Battle of the Bulge), and Orange for the Netherlands (Market Garden).
Infantry collar discs are located on the collar of the jacket. On the chest are a Presidential Unit citation, a combat infantry badge, marked sterling, and a jump wing oval from the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment with a jump wing marked sterling!
The wool shirt is also in very good condition and has a legible label. It has Technician 3rd Grade rank stripes and an 82nd Airborne Division patch. The Garrison cap is in good condition and has infantry piping and a combined Airborne/Glider cap patch. The cap no longer has a size label, but it is likely a size 6 7/8-7. The set is very complete and a definite asset for any Airborne collector!
